Midnight Menagerie’s first realistic human dildo, Myrddin, aims to please with its girthy stature and strong curve, while its dazzling shimmer and sculpted details make it visually gorgeous. Its shape is right up my alley, so I decided to give it a shot and see if it had the magic touch.
Design & Specs
Midnight Menagerie is an Australia-based fantasy sex toy maker aiming to bring fantasy to reality. With knots, flares, tentacles, and more, they have a well-rounded lineup (including a few models designed by yours truly) which shines with their beautiful pours and premium pigments. In addition to toys, they offer squishies, lube, and handmade dice. They’ve recently acquired two models from recently shut down maker Erotic Effect that I enjoy and highly recommend keeping an eye out for (Krothur and Aerlyn).
Myrddin (the Welsh spelling of Merlin) is Midnight Menagerie’s first human dildo which very recently joined their lineup. It features crisply sculpted veins and wrinkles, a belt sculpted around the base, a wide stature, and a beautiful curve.

Medium-size Myrddin has a usable length of 6.5″, mid-shaft girth of about 2″ diameter (6.3″ circumference), and maximum girth of 2.4×1.8″ diameter (6.85″ circumference) at the head. This is a typical size for many medium-size dildos and fits my preferred specs for a filling dildo. In medium firmness 00-50, it’s moderately squishy like tensed muscle.
Mine is a custom 3-color fade with a highlight: Purple base (color 4), pink middle color (color 20 – Vintage Rose), and light gold tip (color 26 – Champagne Gold), with a highlight of Flash Magic Red. The highlight makes the sculpted details pop and adds red shimmer to the entire dildo. I have a whole set of sunrise/sunset inspired dildos and I’m really pleased with how this one turned out.
The belt reminds me of Wandering Bard Astarion and I got both of these toys in similar themed colors, but that’s about where the similarities end. Both models are totally different experiences in use, from the finish to the texture and shape of the curve.

Custom medium Myrddin starts at $150 AUD ($107 USD). A 3-color fade with highlight would be $160 AUD ($114 USD). Currently, interference/flash micas (like Flash Magic Red) are only available for premade toys, not custom orders.
I received Myrddin at the same time as Loakahn, and the package included a branded ownership card listing model name, firmness, and special traits.

In Use (Vaginal)
Myrddin hits all the right buttons for me, but I’ll admit it took me a few tries to figure that out.
The first impression I had was… not great. I added a bit of lube, went for it, and found the texture under the head to be too grating to be pleasant. I had to put it aside and grab another dildo to finish the job.
Turns out that was a classic case of user error. The solution? More lube.
I have a habit of using just as much lube as I need. I don’t need it to be cushiony or to glide; I want the friction! A little bit of lube goes a long way with most of my dildos. But every toy has its quirks, and Myrddin needs it wet.

A moderate amount of lube works really well with the finish: It glides super smoothly, while the prominent veins create friction. I was worried it would cushion the texture too much, but that’s not a problem. Thankfully, using extra lube from the get-go works out pretty well and I don’t need to reapply it more often than usual.
The strongest texture is at the folded skin under the head. With little lube or thin lube, it grates against me. With more lube, it’s way less irritating, although it’s not my favorite when popping in and out due to the sensitivity at my entrance. Aside from that (which honestly isn’t all that strong with sufficient lube), the rest of it is pretty great.
Myrddin’s oval profile initially made me wonder if it would work for me—I’ve disliked a toy with an oval profile before—and it turns out, it does! The shaft itself doesn’t particularly gain or lose anything from the oval shape, but the head is very nice.
The ridge of the head sticks out at the wider edges, creating a triangular flare that works surprisingly well. Those edges are absolutely delicious when I rotate it sideways so that one edge presses against my front wall, particularly my G-spot. While I love a classic flare that goes around the entire head, this design offers the focused pressure points without the intimidating stretch of a full flare, making it a lot easier to insert and use.
Myrddin has a pretty nice curve: The underside rubs against my front wall with low-to-moderate G-spot stimulation, while using it the other way around (like missionary) makes it a solid A-spot dildo. The head isn’t pronounced enough at the top to offer much focused G-spot stimulation in that position, though; any G-spot stimulation comes more from the flared edges than the curve.
The base is easy to hold on either side as long as I don’t get too much lube on it. It’s easier to thrust (which also allows me to adjust the angle easily) than to ride.

Overall
Of the dildos that I have from Midnight Menagerie so far, Myrddin is my favorite.
Despite specializing in fantasy toys, I’ll be the first to say I like a good human dildo, so it’s really fun when that gets blended with fantasy features and fancy colors. Myrddin from Midnight Menagerie combines a classic design with flair, and its head has flared edges that feel way better than I anticipated. I just have to remember to use enough lube to work with the shiny finish and strong skin texture.
As a human dildo, Myrddin is a solid pick that I could easily recommend. The curve and head are great, and it’s nice for A-spot stimulation and G-spot rubbing. I wouldn’t call it a G-spot-focused dildo, but it may work out that way for some people.
