Review: Master4Fancy Oz Scarecrow Knot Dildo

While knots are some of the most popular fantasy dildos out there, they can also be some of the most intimidating. With a gentle knot and a fun curve, Oz makes for a good beginner knotted dildo that’s easy and comfortable to use.

Design & Specs

Master4Fancy creates downright stunning toys. Their designs have high quality details and unique silhouettes, while their pours are loaded with shimmer and they use Near Clear silicone in a way that looks crystalline. I’ve previously reviewed a variety of their dildos, my favorites of which so far are Medusa and ÖLZIITEI.

Oz, inspired by the Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz, features details suited for a scarecrow or zombie dildo like stitched-up skin, piercings, and torn cloth and spikes on the base. The upper shaft is a thick, curved swell topped with a prominent head that has uncut foreskin, and the lower portion has a knot that looks wide from some angles and slim from others.

I really wanted a dildo for anal knotting, but I’m far more sensitive to anal play than vaginal play, so I wanted something that would be both easy and filling. In size small, Oz seems to fit the bill: The girth of the knot is 1.9″x1.5″ diameter (5″ circumference) and the usable length is about 5″. Above the knot, the upper shaft’s girth is 1.5″ diameter (4.75″ circumference).

In soft firmness 2A, it is pretty squishy. Master4Fancy’s website discloses that their 2A feels like 00-40, which I find to be accurate. It feels very soft and squishy in my hand (similar to 00-20 or 00-30), but in use, it provides more pressure and feels less squishy (more like 00-40).

Despite all of the sculpted details, Oz is easy to clean with soap and hot water.

My Oz was made in a special color by my request—the Fantasy color for the model Comet-orchid MERMAID, which is a beautiful gold highlight over pink and purple—which is not a standard ordering option. Specific custom color requests like mine are not possible to order, but you can still get something gorgeous in colors you love. Master4Fancy offers their toys in preset color options, and they can also do surprise custom colors based on inspiration that the customer shares with them (which can turn out to be very beautiful).

The package was just as luxurious to open as my other packages from Master4Fancy. In addition to Oz, I received a medium Medusa for review, a character print for both Medusa and Oz, four stickers, two teenies, two satin-lined bags, two mesh bags, two care booklets, and a pin, all tucked inside heart-shaped bubble-wrap.

In size small, Oz starts at ¥699 CNY ($105 USD). A surprise custom color would bring the price up to ¥849 CNY ($127 USD). A suction cup base can be added for ¥73 CNY ($11 USD). In Use (Vaginal)

I didn’t get Oz for v play, but I gave it a shot out of curiosity. I used it as a warm-up toy since it’s on the small side for me. The upper shaft requires some pushing to thrust because of the shape, so it’s not ideal for thrusting, but the knot is comfortable to pop in and out; I enjoy the smooth glide. It feels more like bulbous texture than a knot, but part of that might be the relatively slim size for my taste.

Considering the small size and softness, it’s not going to make it into my regular rotation for vaginal use, but I could see it being fun for those who use toys this small.

In Use (Anal)

Oz’s tip is rounded, so it takes a little bit of easing (and lube) to get it in. Once the head’s inside, the smooth surface and shape help the rest slide in easily.

It feels thick at the top, after which I easily slip down towards the bottom of the swell and top of the knot. The shaft has a really nicely designed swell: It locks in easily and feels filling, with a natural stopping point above the knot. With the curve towards my front wall (like missionary), I get a little bit of vaginal feedback, so it’s a nice bit of extra stimulation. Whichever way it’s oriented, it’s pretty comfortable.

For thrusting/riding, it has some resistance because of how nicely the swell locks in. I go for a slow grind if I’m going to do that, but a little bit of thrusting isn’t bad. I don’t really notice any of the texture except the piercings on the head.

In soft firmness, it’s super approachable. The shape feels great without any of the discomfort I sometimes get from using firmer dildos anally, and the bottom of the shaft is sturdy enough that it doesn’t try to collapse or bend away.

The knot slips in very easily; I was really surprised the first time. I didn’t have to warm up to it or anything. This makes it great for beginners and for knotfuckers who want to pop it in and out, although a little less exciting for those who really want a stretch. Fully hilted, it feels more like a knot once it’s inside: Gentle grinding, or pulsing/clenching around it, really emphasizes the round presence of the knot, and I feel a little resistance when pulling it out.

The knot is a little too gentle for my fantasies. It doesn’t lock in as well as I’d like, and it doesn’t have the round and filling feeling that I want from a knot. Part of this might be the softness, but another part is probably the shape of the knot: It’s oblong, stretching to either side of the dildo, but doesn’t add any girth from the front and back. A little more girth could have made it more prominent.

Small Oz next to XS Direwolf.

Part of why I wanted Oz was to warm up to my extra small Direwolf from Wandering Bard Toys—which, despite being XS, is not as beginner-friendly as I had hoped with a knot that’s over 6″ circumference. Not that I’m a total beginner at anal, but I normally stick to slimmer dildos since I don’t do it often. Oz is a much better fit for someone like me who doesn’t regularly take dildos above average cock size anally, but it’s a little too small to be the right toy to warm up for a 6″+ knot.

The base is easy to hold; it has a wide profile, so there’s plenty of silicone to hold onto even if parts of it get lubey. It has a suction cup base which works with some of my handles, but I prefer to just thrust it by hand to maintain control over exactly how it moves. The suction cup indent makes it lose a little bit of leverage when thrusting (unlike my Medusa, which is large enough to compensate), so I would recommend the suction cup base only if you know you’re going to use it.

My favorite way to use Oz is to insert the upper shaft, then slowly thrust about an inch back and forth, keeping most of the swell inserted, while occasionally taking a minute to pop the knot in and out.

My current collection of dildos from Master4Fancy.

Overall

Oz has a knot that’s well designed to be comfortable for beginners, along with a top swell that’s filling and fits well. In small and soft, it’s gentle enough for me to use anally without any discomfort, and it’s easy to hold thanks to the size and shape of the base.

I could easily recommend small Oz as a beginner dildo, especially for someone who wants a knot or swell that isn’t intimidating. For a stronger knot sensation and a better knot lock, though, I’d suggest seeking out a more rounded, less oval knot.
