Review: Gender X Body Kisses Suction Vibrator

Gender X Body Kisses inspired me to take notes right away—no other toy I’ve purchased has been as impressively disappointing as this one. With its gender-expansive and genital-neutral advertising, it embraces the idea that anyone can use any toy if they’d like (which is a perspective I back wholeheartedly), but its functions fail to impress and I have a hard time imagining exactly who would benefit from it.

Design & Specs

Gender X, a brand under Evolved Novelties, is geared towards gender inclusivity and toys for all bodies. They make products that are explicitly for trans and gender-expansive customers, like breastforms and STP devices, with a few unique vibrators alongside a standard lineup of dildos, strokers, and common vibrator shapes.

Body Kisses is a suction vibrator with a flexible tunnel and a circular opening. The red tunnel is made of thin, firm silicone, which is pretty flexible due to the thinness, but has a limited amount of stretch. The black base holds most of the tech stuff and has two buttons: One for vibrations and one for suction. The electronics extend along one side of the tunnel to provide vibrations (which I’ll refer to as the underside).

Most clit suction vibrators have small openings which do not fit t-dicks and which use air pulse vibrations rather than true suction. Body Kisses fits a t-dick easily, hood/foreskin included, and has a true suction function. I rarely buy vibrators, but I was on the lookout for a nice air pulse or suction vibrator that would fit me, so I picked this one up.

Body Kisses retails for about $100. It’s carried by a number of retailers, so may go on sale with site-wide promotions.

In Use

Let’s start with the fit. I can fit my dick with foreskin, no problem, but it’s spacious and my dick doesn’t touch any of the sides. I can fit the head of my PeenPocket prosthetic and the head of my relatively slim Strap-On-Me strap-on. I cannot fit the head of my Tantus Uncut #2 (which only has a diameter of 1.6″). While the tunnel is somewhat flexible, the firmness limits it, and I don’t want to try forcing anything too big into it. It would be possible to fit something soft like a flaccid dick, but wrangling the opening would be awkward.

(The photos below may not show lube, but I did test with lube. I wouldn’t recommend putting anything into this vibe without lube.)

The head of the Tantus Uncut #2 does not fit.

Considering the vibrations come from one specific side of the tunnel, I would recommend having bits that are large enough to touch that side. Maybe if your bits are between 1.2-1.6″ diameter and you’ve got at least 2.5″ length to work with, you might be able to touch the side that vibrates. Maybe. I’m not actually sure if someone can both touch the vibrating side and comfortably fit inside the entrance (which feels tight like a rubber band if I put too many fingers inside).

This vibrator is so loud that I won’t use it if anyone else is in the house. The vibration mode on the lowest setting or two, okay, maybe that can be covered up with a loud fan. The suction? Not a chance.

The controls are not ideal. You have to turn on the vibration part before you can turn on the suction. There are different modes/intensities, but if you want to go back to a previous one, you have to cycle through all of them or turn the vibrator off then back on. This is typical of most vibrators, but it’s always something I find annoying.

The strength is okay. And by okay I mean that when I have a prosthetic, the vibrations transfer, although it’s not enough for me to want to use it again. When I have it directly on my bits, I’m only in contact with the thin silicone, not the vibrator directly, and the vibrations transfer very poorly through such thin silicone.

The suction is strong, but it just shrinkwraps my dick. It doesn’t feel like much except mild pain. Like a rubber band tied too tightly. I feel none of the pleasure that I get from the suction of silicone mini penetrables (which are also way better for pumping). It’s kind of neat to see the outline of my dick like that, but that’s a very brief novelty. I can turn off the suction and it will sometimes retain it if I don’t move much. I can move the vibrator while suctioned and it will pull my dick, which is not a bad sensation, but I can do that with anything that truly suctions. The suction does not make the vibrations any stronger.

I can’t say anything to the claim that the underside of the vibrator undulates during suction. I don’t feel it at all.

Body Kisses is advertised to work on various erogenous zones. I didn’t try this on my nipples. I don’t have any desire to. Best of luck to anyone who gives that a go.

Overall

Gender X Body Kisses doesn’t work for me. I don’t even know who it would work for. If there’s a particular audience who can feel the vibrations from the underside, I’d really like that to be included in the advertising, whether it’s size specification or a particular group of people (maybe trans men who have had metoidioplasty? or anyone with a dick around 4″ circumference that’s at least a couple inches long?). The advertising had me thinking it would work for me in some way, especially with how nicely sized the tunnel seemed to be, but I feel completely let down by how poorly the vibrations transfer through the thin silicone and how uncomfortable the suction function is.

If you want a vibrator that fits around a t-dick, some air pulse vibrators with larger entrances (like some from Satisfyer) may work for that. Be careful not to get one with an entrance that’s too small.

If you want a vibrator that transfers through a prosthetic, I’d suggest trying out a wand since those are very versatile and will work for other functions if that doesn’t pan out.

If you want something that suctions (with the bonus of pumping up your bits), try closed-ended mini penetrables like SquidlyCo.’s Falkor, Neotori’s Thorvald’s Prism, or Fantasy Grove’s Basilisk.

If you want a toy that truly sucks, well… I guess you’re in luck.
