Glass is firm, unyielding, and intimidating; yet in the right hands, it’s beautiful and can make a powerfully pleasurable dildo. Its smoothness allows it to glide while its firmness makes it press precisely against the right spots.
With how firm it is, every little detail in the shape and texture matters. I reviewed six dildos from Gläs to see which ones got the design right, and which ones didn’t quite meet expectations.
About Gläs
Gläs is a brand of premium glass pleasure products with a wide variety of gorgeous dildos and plugs. They’re handmade from borosilicate glass and crafted with the goal of being both high-quality and affordable. As a mainstream brand, many of their products can be purchased from retailers in addition to their own site.
Borosilicate glass, when produced correctly, is resistant to changes in temperature and impact, making them sturdy enough for gentle temperature play and keeping them from breaking easily. They should be able to survive a little bit of clacking against each other or being dropped onto a soft surface (but you should always check a glass toy for cracks after dropping it, no matter the surface).
None of the dildos in this article have flared bases. If inserting them anally, make sure to keep a firm grip on them so they don’t fully slip inside. However, I would generally recommend buying something with a flared base to ensure it doesn’t get stuck.
My interest in glass dildos has a specific focus. I’ve been very interested in focused G-spot stimulation lately, and glass is ideal for precise stimulation. I’m also very into medical play fantasies, for which the poking and prodding of glass can be very effective. Any glass dildo that can fit both pleasure and fantasy is a huge win for me. Gläs offers more fantastical dildos like the Slithering Stimulator and Abyss tentacle dildos for those who enjoy such fantasies in glass form, though I personally prefer the fantasy of soft silicone tentacles.
While these dildos are much slimmer than my usual preference, the firmness and shape alone offer strong stimulation, and the size allows more room to maneuver them exactly where I want.
Most of these are double-ended. If I want to switch which side I use, I keep a tissue on hand so I can quickly wipe off the wet end before using it as a handle. However, I have a strong preference for which end I prefer, so I don’t do this as often as I thought I would.

When I received my dildos, the package was much lighter than I expected, but I’m used to the heft of silicone. The packaging was a bit of a hodgepodge: Two came in boxes with satin storage bags, while four came in sealed plastic bags, wrapped in Styrofoam for protection. Honestly, I prefer the more discreet packaging, especially considering I don’t have the space for all the product boxes I get.
The satin bags are thin. They’re functional for storage, but I’m careful to keep the toys from clacking together. It would have been nice for all of these to have satin bags, but at least I had my own hand-sewn cotton bags prepared to place the remaining dildos into.
Pelvic Wand Curved Double Ended
Pelvic Wand Curved Double Ended (11″ total length, 1.3″ max diameter) has the least glamorous name of my dildos from Gläs, but it’s the most gorgeous. The length and the rounded head make it suitable for soft, comfortable cervix stimulation, letting me comfortably prod deep inside for as long as I would like. Compared to a heavy steel dildo, the lightweight glass is way more comfortable at this depth.
In addition to the deep stimulation, it can be angled for consistent G-spot stimulation. I find the orb at the end to be too broad for squirting purposes, but for a G-spot massage, it’s not bad. The only downside there is that it’s a little awkward to get the angle as strong as I want it to be, but at least it’s long enough to comfortably hold the other end as a handle.
The smooth end is very comfortable overall, and I love the deep penetration in itself, especially with a dildo so firm I can always feel it, but the depth play is sometimes more of a mental pleasure than a physical one.
The textured side is very noise-like. I can’t say I’m impressed. Glass texture needs to be thick and separated for me to enjoy it, so these thin, tight ripples aren’t for me.
It’s pleasant enough to use for 10-30 minutes at a time. Great for part of a fun session, but I rarely finish with it since I like to move on to something with more texture or a stronger shape.
The current name is an unappealing mouthful and I’d like to see it given a proper name.
Blue Mirage
Blue Mirage (10.5″ total length, 1.3″ max diameter) has one end that curves upwards right at the end. It kind of looks like a sperm cell, which makes me giggle a bit, but I can set aside that amusement when using it. The curved end is similar in shape and size to a finger. The small tip makes it very noticeable where it’s poking, and it feels firm without feeling sharp. Moving it around while keeping it pressed against my front wall almost makes it feel like an actual finger. While it’s too small for a G-spot punch and has some limited mobility due to the lack of curve along the rod, it’s great for a gentle fingering sensation.
The other end with the orb-like texture is pleasant when inserted, offering a gentle and fun rippling texture. Unfortunately, it’s too slim and straight for my tastes, so I rarely use it this way.
Although I like the gentle fingering sensation, it’s overall slim and limited in function. While it’s a must-have in my medical play lineup, I only ever play with it for 5-10 minutes at a time.
Lavender Lover
Lavender Lover (8.5″ total length, 1.4×1″ max diameter) has a flat, somewhat spatula-like shape that makes for a really unique sensation none of my other dildos have. When rotated inside of me, the thin rounded sides moving across my front wall provides a lot of focused pressure along with a movement that feels more like a tool than a gentle lover, although it glides like silk thanks to the shape and the general smoothness of glass.
Whether rotating like this or angling so the tip rubs my G-spot, it’s pretty pleasurable in the way that anything pressing against my front wall is. The tip of the spatula side is more impressive than it looks: It’s extremely easy to angle for focused and comfortable G-spot stimulation. When pointed downwards/against my back wall, it sinks right down against my cervix. I’m not sure if it actually gets behind the cervix or not, but it’s a very interesting and deep sensation.
The slim side has a fairly strong curve with a ball on top, similar to the small end of the njoy Pure Wand. It’s okay for G-spot stimulation, but not as good as the other end, so I only use this side as a handle.
Lavender Lover has the best shape of all of the dildos I’ve tried from Gläs. It feels great, it’s versatile enough to change things up, it gets me super wet, and it fits my particular fantasies very well. I can go for an hour straight with this thing, which is more than I can say for most dildos.
Sculpted Slider
Sculpted Slider (7.4″ total length, 1.5″ max diameter) makes me nervous with its thin stem. As a G-spotter, I want to get a little rough with it, but the thinness in a spot that receives stress has me inclined to be more gentle. Glass should be sturdy, and it hasn’t broken yet, but this is really thin.
It’s designed as a G-spotter, but it’s quite small with a limited curve, so the pressure is gentler than expected. It enters and exits with a pop as the head locks in just inside of me, and it’s very good at staying in place, moving only a little as I rock it against my G-spot.
The ripples on the head don’t do much internally, but externally, it’s neat texture to rub against my clit. Not interesting enough for me to do often, though.
The small, slim end for handling easily gets lube on it, making it difficult to hold.
As pretty as it is, I wouldn’t get this one again, since I find it only okay at what it does and I don’t like the slim neck.
Gläs offers another very similar model with a sparkly base: Supernova G-Spot Slider.
Aura Glow & Red Head Double Dildo
Aura Glow (7.6″ total length, 1.5″ max diameter) and Red Head Double Dildo (7″ total length, 1.5″ max diameter) have pretty straightforward shapes. The Aura Glow is part of Gläs’s iridescent line, where the glass has a rainbow coloration. It has a warm tint in regular lighting that doesn’t show up well in photos.
These two are very similar: low-texture shaft with a curve and head at the end. Neither are long enough for good A-spot stimulation, but they’re decent for G-spot and general front wall stimulation. Both of these make for casual, comfortable sessions if I want to enjoy a G-spot massage or the general feeling of glass gliding inside of me.
The three orbs at the end of the Aura Glow are too slim to do much for me. but make for a decent handle. Both of these are short enough that I need to keep a tissue on hand in case the end I’m holding gets wet.
If these were a couple inches longer, they could’ve made for great A-spotters. If they were thicker, they’d be more filling and satisfying. As it is, they’re just okay. I like them enough to incorporate them into warmup sometimes, but they only ever see a few minutes of use at a time before I swap them out for something more interesting.
Recommendations
Three of these Gläs dildos are now regulars in my toy box, while the other three are unlikely to see much use from me.
